Eyes on the Street errr….Beach: Popular Play Area Reopens

The children’s play area at Dorothy Green Park, officially known as Beach Park Number 1, has been closed since late April so the city could install new playground equipment. The park is located between lifeguard towers 25 and 26, just south of Ocean Park Boulevard.

While it’s disappointing the park was closed for much of the summer, it was good to see children laughing and playing on the amenities while jogging down the beach path earlier today. Replacing the old playground equipment was only supposed to take a half dozen weeks or so, but at least children have a couple more weeks of summer to enjoy the play space near the waves.
