The following is a submission from the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District
A special presentation in Spanish is planned for Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 9-11 a.m. via Zoom, regarding the tentative revenue sharing agreement for school separation to establish an independent Malibu Unified School District.
This meeting will be a special District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) meeting, with all Spanish-speaking parents invited to attend.

Parents, staff, and community members are encouraged to attend a meeting in-person or virtually to better understand the projected outcomes for both a future Santa Monica Unified School District and Malibu Unified School District.
Another opportunity to see this presentation is at a special school board meeting, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, 6 p.m., at the District Office: 1717 4th St. Santa Monica. This meeting will be hybrid. Meeting link will be posted online on this webpage on May 20: https://www.smmusd.org/domain/2977. This meeting will be conducted in English with Spanish interpretation.
