City Seeks Feedback in Safety Improvements on Pico Between 28th and Centinela

Date:

The City of Santa Monica wants your feedback about how to enhance roadway safety on Pico Boulevard between 28th Street/Stewart Street and Centinela Avenue. The East Pico Safety Project will engage the public to assess current roadway conditions and address safety issues. The project will use data and community feedback to design and implement quick build safety improvements. Once implemented, City staff will use public feedback on the quick build elements to ensure that long-term improvements meet the needs of the community.

There are several options available to provide feedback about your lived experience on the corridor.  Project representatives will be present at three upcoming community events (event information below) to capture feedback and provide updates on project details and development timelines. In addition to in-person events, there is also an opportunity to provide feedback using the interactive map for the project. This link will take you to the interactive map where you can easily mark any location on the corridor where you have comments.  (Note: as I run on this stretch or road, I have many feelings on this but have had some trouble with the map loading. If you’re experiencing the same issues, go to the project website and email the managers directly.)
