Update: Extended Times for Santa Monica Next Cocktail Happy Hour

Date:

As we have been advertising, Santa Monica Next will hold its annual cocktail fundraiser on September 9. We have decided to extend the party an extra hour. The new times will be from 4 to 7 p.m. (instead of 5 to 7 p.m.) because the Church in Ocean Park is holding its annual Communitas fundraiser on the same night and we want to give our supporters a chance to attend both events if they so choose.

If you haven’t already, get your ticket today and help support the work we do at Santa Monica Next.

For the past several years, Next has provided our community with in-depth and thoughtful coverage of the pressing issues we face.

In those years, we have received several honors, including an award for excellence in communications. We are the only Santa Monica news source that has been a finalist for recognition from the Los Angeles Press Club… for three years in a row (we’re definitely going to win next year)!

As a nonprofit news site, we owe our success to the support of our readers. Your donations support the award-winning content you have come to expect from us. Whether it was our coverage of the contentious local 2016 election, the ongoing debate around the Downtown Community Plan, or the pernicious rise of fake local news, we strive to keep you informed about the issues facing the community.

Help us keep up the good work and join the Santa Monica Next steering committee and the site’s editor, Jason Islas, for a festive summer cocktail party with signature drinks hand-crafted by a professional bartender at Next steering committee member Abby Arnold’s Ocean Park home. RSVP for details.

We look forward to seeing you!
