Santa Monica’s Breeze Bike Share, L.A. County’s first public bike-share system, will be hosting a four-day food and toy drive starting Thursday, December 15.

Those interested in contributing can bring donations to specific Breeze Bike Share hubs between the hours of noon and 4 p.m. starting today through Sunday. Donations benefit the Westside Food Bank and Toys for Tots.

“This holiday season, our Breeze Ambassadors will be out in the field collecting non-perishable food items and unopened toys,” according to Breeze Bike Share’s Facebook page for the event.

“Stop by one of our 4 drop off locations, talk to an Ambassador, learn about Breeze, and donate some much needed items to the Westside Food Bank and Toys for Tots!” the Facebook page reads.

Donors will get an hour of free ride time on the system.

On Thursday, December 15, participants can drop off their donations at the 4th & Colorado Expo Station in Downtown Santa Monica.

On Friday, December 16, the Breeze Bike Share ambassadors will be collecting donations at the Lincoln and Broadway Breeze Bike Share station.

Then, on Saturday, December 17, donors can bring their donations to the Virginia Avenue Park Breeze Station.

And finally, on Sunday, December 18, the Breeze ambassadors will be collecting donations at the 15th & Montana Breeze station.
