Pizza, Art, and Vote Local

SaMo-Next-Vote-LocalHey! Our first Vote Local event is tomorrow and we hope you can make it! Join us at Bergamot Station for art, pizza, and a mixer, co-sponsored by the Santa Monica Museum of Art, Santa Monica Spoke, and railLA.

Starting at 4:30 p.m., take a tour of the exhibits currently on display at SMMoA, including Robert Swain’s “The Form of Color” and Brian Goeltzenleuchter’s olfactory artwork, “Sillage.” Then, join us in nearby People Park for some pizza, drinks, and a chat about the future of Santa Monica and what you can do to help shape it.

We will take a look at the progress being made on the new Expo line station at 26th and Olympic Boulevard, scheduled to be completed next year. We will also discuss the future of the Bergamot Station Arts Center, the impact Expo will have on SaMo’s former industrial corridor, how Santa Monica is planning assure Bergamot Station survives as a regional destination for arts and culture, and what you can do to get involved.

The conversation will wrap up around 6 p.m. and we invite to walk or ride to Santa Monica College for the 25th annual “Celebrate America” fireworks display.
