State Assemblymember Richard Bloom (center, left) poses with community members, Santa Monica City staff, Cyclehop employees, and Santa Monica Next editor on the day of Breeze Bike Share’s launch.

If you haven’t already, get your ticket today to join us in celebrating the good work accomplished by Assemblymember Richard Bloom, Cyclehop, and Hulu. The party is this Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 at Cyclehop’s west coast headquarters.

This Thursday…like, in two days!

Tickets are available on Eventbrite at $20 per person. However, we don’t turn people away if that’s not in your budget. Free tickets are also available. Drinks and refreshments will be served.

In addition to Bloom and Cyclehop, members of the Streetsblog Los Angeles, Streetsblog California, and Santa Monica Next team will be on hand. Tired of just talking about housing issues with Jason on Facebook? Do it in real life! Want a chance to meet with Melanie Curry? She’ll be there! Want to talk with the guy from #DamienTalks in person? Here’s your chance!

Bloom, Cyclehop, and Hulu were all awarded 2015 Streetsie awards for their standout work in making our streets safer, more sustainable, and accessible to all.

Bloom was honored in the first-ever Streetsblog California “Streetsies” for his work at the state legislature and his role in helping make Breeze Bike Share, L.A. County’s first-ever public bike-share system, a reality. You can read more at Streetsblog California about Bloom’s work.

Hulu and Cyclehop, which run Santa Monica’s Breeze Bike Share, are being honored together as the 2015 Livable Streets-Friendly Business by Streetsblog Los Angeles. Hulu, the Santa Monica-based entertainment company, stepped forward to sponsor Santa Monica’s 500-bike Breeze Bike Share system — the first large-scale public bike-share in Los Angeles County. Hulu promised an annual commitment of $675,000 for at least five years. Cyclehop is also a technological innovator with the first fleets of smart-bike bike-share.

It’s a party, so come ready to party and honor our friends!
