Santa Monica College continues its Distinguished Scientists Lecture Series in spring 2025 with an eye-opening talk — “Stress Management for Nurses: Author of ‘Nursing Dream Turned Nightmare’” — by Patricia B. Crain, MSN BSN RN. A Registered Nurse with 27 years of experience working in acute care hospitals, Crain will discuss the stressors of working during the COVID pandemic in an urban ICU, and how she battles stress in nursing in the post-pandemic era. Her presentation will include useful tools for future nurses and other medical professionals to help them deal with stress, bullies, and hard days.
The presentation, which includes an audience Q&A, is free, and will be held Tuesday, March 4, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 123 on the SMC Bundy Campus (3171 S. Bundy Dr., Los Angeles). Sponsored by the SMC Associates (smc.edu/associates).
