Help Us Build the Santa Monica Starter Pack on Bluesky

In recent months, progressives and other social media users have been migrating from Twitter/X to Bluesky. Be it the politics of Twitter/X’s owner, the algorithm that seems to throttle news in favor of conspiracy or any of the other myriad of reasons that Twitter is just less useful than it used to be; Bluesky is rapidly growing.

One of the differences between Bluesky and Twitter/X is the “starter pack” option. Users can create a list of accounts around an issue to help new users quickly build a list of accounts to follow to populate their feed with content that they desire. So far, there isn’t a really good one for someone looking to learn about Santa Monica.

We’re looking to change that.

Next week, Next will build a Bluesky starter pack for Santa Monica with as many public figures, organizations, news outlets and businesses that we can find. If you either own or know of a great Santa Monica based account, follow us on Bluesky, leave a note in the comments or any of our other social media.
