In a public video posted to social media, Santa Monica Vice-Mayor Lana Negrete revelealed a serious cancer diagnosis that will require chemotherapy to battle.
In the video, Negrete shows courage and resolve and vows to “fucking kick this fucking cancer’s ass.” But she also asks for the support of the Santa Monica community, “I need a thousand hands…I need you. I love my community – my family – my framily. I love you all.”
