Last Call! Tomorrow Is Our Relaunch Party, But RSVP’s Are Still Available!

Date:

Join us tomorrow, Saturday March 11, to celebrate the relaunch of Santa Monica Next, the progressive news source for coverage of the people, places, policies and events that will determine ‘What’s Next?’ for Santa Monica. You can RSVP for the event, here.

We’ll be celebrating from 3-6 pm. at the house of our advisory board member Abby Arnold (address provided with RSVP) with appetizers and beverages. Afterwards, we’ll walk to a local restaurant for dinner for anyone who wishes to join us (dinner not included with RSVP). The house is easily accessible by public transit and there are public bike racks around the corner from the house.

This last week saw three very different original pieces. On Monday, Juan Matute noted that the school district is missing a chance to create safe access to its schools during construction. Later in the week, Damien looked at the many, many, problems with the Santa Monica Pulse polls before bringing a satirical look at the departure of Sea Dragon. In between, it republished stories by Streetsblog and the Ocean Park Association newsletter. If you have any leads on hot stories or community resources that would be a good fit to be republished, contact damien@santamonicanext.org.

This is a fundraiser and the suggested donation is $100, but if that doesn’t work for your budget or you want to come to learn more about our publication please take advantage of our “sliding scale” ticket option.
