Islas to appear on “Press Play with Madeleine Brand” Today at 12:15

Santa Monica Next editor Jason Islas will appear on KCRW’s “Press Play with Madeline Brand” today at noon to discuss his recent stories “Lack of Office Space, Housing Squeeze Santa Monica’s Growing Tech Industry” and “Santa Monica Loses Yahoo to Los Angeles.”

These stories show how the efforts to restrict growth, both in office and housing stock, are already beginning to erode Santa Monica’s business base and pressure young professionals to seek housing in other cities.
