Santa Monica Celebrates Hispanic Culture at Inaugural Festival de la Calle Siete

The following is a submission from Compassionate Santa Monica.

FESTIVAL DE LA CALLE SIETE takes after the iconic Miami Florida event that celebrates the Hispanic Culture and representation in that city. This is the inaugural event in Santa Monica warming the city for next year’s Caribbean American Heritage Parade and Festival. Our goal is to grow to include the whole 7th Street in Santa Monica next year.

We will close the 1800th block of 7th Street between Pico and Michigan behind Santa Monica High School to beautify the street with neighbors, bring joy to the community ahead of the Day of The Death celebration from October 31 to November 2nd, and prepare as a community for El Niño coming later this Winter. We are inviting the whole LA County to take Expo Line Metro public transportation to transfer our local BIG BLUE BUS LINE 7 to 7th street and celebrate with us. Tell your friends, family, coworkers and neighbors.
