The Santa Monica Police Department invites residents, families, businesses, and visitors to celebrate National Night Out 2026, an annual community event that strengthens relationships between neighbors and local law enforcement.
This year’s movie-themed celebration, “Lights. Camera. Community.”, will feature family-friendly activities, opportunities to meet Santa Monica police officers and community partners, public safety demonstrations, resource booths, and information about programs and services available throughout the city.
National Night Out is part of a nationwide initiative promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood engagement. The free event is open to all ages.
If you’re taking transit, just let your Big Blue Bus driver know you’re headed to National Night Out and your ride is free.
