SM Spoke: Register Your Bike, Voluntarily and Free

Date:

Bike registration that works: online, powerful, free.

Want to help protect your bike against theft? You can register your bike – free, right now – with BikeIndex.org by filling out the form below.

  • If you are here to register a stolen bike, click “Click the red bar below to register a stolen bike instead“. Please be sure to also file a CRIME REPORT with local police, and include your report number in the BikeIndex listing you fill out below.
  • In Santa Monica* you may file your report online HERE if the value of the bicycle is below $950 (for online report the bicycle must not have been in a garage or carport)
*incident occurred within the city limits of Santa Monica

Registering a bike only takes a few minutes and gives cyclists a permanent record linked to their identity that proves ownership in the case of a theft.
