Video: Santa Monica’s Twilight Concert Series Thrives Despite Changes

For 30 years, the Santa Monica Pier has hosted free concerts on Thursdays in the summer. Today, the Twilight Concert Series draws thousands from around the region who come to enjoy the bayside city’s beaches while listening to music by the likes of Jimmy Cliff, Ozomatli, and Dick Dale. This year, as the crowds have grown, the City took some steps to try to scale back the concerts. Even so, the concerts are still thriving. Santa Monica Next‘s Saul Rubin takes a look. – Jason

Saul Rubin is a professional journalist, travel author and media professor who has worked in Sana Monica for a quarter of a century.
