Changes Coming for an Improved Santa Monica Next in 2014

Date:

Friends,

First, thank you all so much for reading and contributing to Santa Monica Next. The website is off to a great start, but thanks to a donation from the Vida Feliz Foundation, we’ll be able to expand the website next year to provide (near) daily new content and stories. One of the ways we’re going to do this is by bringing a new part-time writer on board. The writer will join me, Gary, Tyler and whoever else takes part in the Salon series. We’ll be expecting roughly two stories per week and the job will pay $10,000 a year.

Before we blast out an announcement on jobs boards and social media, we thought we would see what reaction we would get to posting it here on Santa Monica Next first. The winning applicant will be smart, witty, a talented writer, and understand both Livable Streets and Santa Monica’s local politics.

If you’re interested in joining the team, drop me an email at damien@santamonicanext.org. I’m more than happy to talk.
