Reminder: State of the City Is Thursday Night at Reed Park, Kicking Off SaMo’s 150th Birthday

Santa Monica’s annual State of the City returns Thursday, July 17 from 4–7 p.m. with a fresh format and festive spirit at Reed Park and the newly reopened Miles Memorial Playhouse. Kick off the city’s 150th anniversary with an opening reception featuring Mayor Lana Negrete and incoming City Manager Oliver Chi, followed by live performances, art, music, activities for all ages and a beer garden from Santa Monica Brew Works.

Getting there:
🚌 Transit Users: Big Blue Bus Routes 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 18, and 41 all have stops within a 10-minute walk of Reed Park. Plan your trip at bigbluebus.com. Tell your bus driver you are attending the State of the City and your ride is FREE!

🚲 Cyclists: Santa Monica Spoke will provide convenient on-site bike valet service adjacent to California Avenue, providing a safe and easy way to park their bikes while enjoying the event.

🚗⁠  Rideshare Users: A passenger loading zone will be available on the west side of Lincoln (approximately 1130 Lincoln Blvd.) for those utilizing a ridesharing service.
