Construction Notice – Curb Ramp improvements on Hollister Ave 8/5-9/20: “Engineering and street services division is leading the construction of the project which will improve the pedestrian safety around the 6 school sites: John Muir Elementary, Santa Monica Alternative Schoolhouse (SMASH), McKinley Elementary, Edison Language Academy, Franklin Elementary, and Grant Elementary. The construction work is starting with curb ramp reconstruction on Hollister Ave at 4th, 5th, and 6th St. This work adjacent to John Muir & SMASH schools will take place starting August 5th through September 20th. Existing Building Reach Codes Survey: The Office of Sustainability and the Environment has developed a survey to send around to Santa Monica property owners to assist them in gathering feedback on proposed policy options for the Existing Building Reach Code policy they are working on. “The survey is designed to help the City understand community priorities, concerns, and barriers to help develop the policy and structure stakeholder workshops moving forward.
