Free Film Screening – “Give Me an A” @ Aero Theatre (Thursday 7:30p.m.): 17 filmmakers created 17 short films in response to the Supreme Court overturning Roe vs. Wade. “Celebrate America” SMC Fireworks (Saturday 9p.m.): Billed as “the biggest, most sensational patriotic event on the Westside,” the free celebration returns after a three year hiatus at SMC’s main campus. More details here. Judy Abdo will be reserving space near the 50 yard line for people to gather before the fireworks. She plans to get there around 5pm for anyone who wants to make an evening of it as there will be booths, food, music before the actual fireworks. You are welcome to bring food and chairs (as long as they don’t have legs that will sink into the grass of the stadium…the kind you would take to the beach).
