The following is a submission from Downtown Santa Monica
Santa Monica Block Fest (“SMBF”) returns Saturday, October 10, with a Halloween edition that will transform the Third Street Promenade into a free, open-air festival of music, food, and culture. More than 15,000 festivalgoers are expected to enjoy two electronic music stages, a food night market on Arizona Avenue, and the Downtown Santa Monica Entertainment Zone.
The Good Society Stage will feature a secret headliner, following the collective’s recent stage takeover at Same Same But Different, which included a surprise appearance by bass music legend LSDREAM. The Beat Repeat Stage will feature internationally recognized DJ and producer Laidback Luke alongside a lineup of top-notch house and electronic music artists. On the 1200 block, live band karaoke will invite festivalgoers to take the mic and sing along with a full live band.
Along with the food night market on Arizona Avenue, the festival will also feature a special activation from Amy’s Organic Kitchen providing free samples and illuminating the clock tower.
Beyond the outdoor stages, Dirty Mondays will bring its high-energy live-band performance to Barney’s Beanery, with musicians performing above the crowd, big choruses, and an atmosphere built for singing along.
With the Promenade filled with live music, local bites, and Halloween festivities, SMBF Vol. VIII brings a free night of entertainment to the heart of Downtown Santa Monica. Admission is free with RSVP.
