Santa Monica Airport Park Plan Advances to Next Phase of Community Input

Hundreds of community members gathered October 17 to explore the Draft Illustrative Master Plan for the future Santa Monica Airport park and share ideas about how the former airport site could be transformed.

The plan, shaped by 18 months of community input, lays out a vision for the park across eight districts, with spaces ranging from immersive natural areas to active recreation and community gathering places.

Materials from the October 17 community event, including the draft plan, are available on the project website.

Community members who missed the event can still weigh in. The project’s Phase 4 survey is open through December 6, 2026, and is available in both English and Spanish.
