Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade will become a giant outdoor music venue Saturday as Santa Monica Block Fest returns for its sixth edition.
The free, all-ages festival is expected to draw more than 20,000 people to all three blocks of the Promenade, with electronic music, food vendors and other activities running from 5 p.m. to midnight.
The event, known as SMBF, will feature performances from electronic artists including Ookay and Noodles, along with No Thanks, Sara Kawai B2B Shaw00p, Skilah, Casamalia, Vesper, Sim Ivy and Wax Thieves.
A food night market will once again stretch along Arizona Avenue, with vendors including Dave’s Hot Chicken, Churromadness and Baozza.
The festival comes as Downtown Santa Monica continues a summer of events and other activations aimed at bringing visitors and residents to the area. The summer programming has included World Cup celebrations and watch parties, new businesses and expanded outdoor experiences.
Santa Monica Block Fest launched in October 2025 and is co-founded by Yappy Studios, QuickServe and Downtown Santa Monica Inc., in collaboration with the City of Santa Monica. Organizers say the event is intended to turn the pedestrian Promenade into a large-scale community gathering while showcasing local businesses, food and music.
Waymo is returning as the event’s official ride-hail partner. The company is offering 30% off the first three rides using the code SMBF26.
Admission to Santa Monica Block Fest is free, although organizers are asking attendees to reserve tickets in advance.
