Date:

From the Big Blue Bus e-mail.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Big Blue Bus will offer free rides in celebration of Earth Day! Reduce your carbon footprint, save on gas and parking costs, avoid traffic headaches, and support sustainable transportation in your community by riding Big Blue Bus!

Earth Day is a global call to action to flex your power and make sustainable choices in your everyday life. Utilizing public transit and other clean modes of transportation, such as biking, skating, and scooting, are a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and support a cleaner, greener future.

Big Blue Bus is proud to be a leader in sustainable public transit, currently operating 34 battery-electric buses with 30 more planned for 2027. The agency remains on track to achieve a fully zero-emission fleet by 2032!

Watch this brief animation highlighting the harmful effects of carbon pollution and how transitioning to cleaner transportation, like Big Blue Bus’s zero-emission fleet, is helping reduce harm and build a healthier future.
