The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District’s (SMMUSD) Financial Oversight Committee (FOC) is seeking qualified candidates who can put their financial and/or management expertise to work in support of the school district. There are four upcoming vacancies with three-year terms beginning July 1.
The SMMUSD FOC also is seeking student representatives from each of the three District high schools who are interested in joining the FOC in an advisory role. The FOC is a citizen advisory body that assists the District’s Board of Education by reviewing and monitoring financial matters and providing recommendations related to the District’s fiscal policies and decisions. Student Committee Members shall have an advisory vote on agendized items, which shall be recorded in the official minutes.
