SMMUSD Superintendent: Passage of Bond Measures QS and MM

Date:

Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, Students and Community Members,

We are thrilled to announce the successful passage of both facility improvement project bonds, QS for Santa Monica schools and MM for Malibu schools, each receiving significant support from their respective community. These strong results not only demonstrate the community’s trust in our mission, but also affirm their understanding of the critical need for improved facilities that will directly benefit our students’ academic success and overall well-being.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the voters for their confidence in our vision, and we deeply appreciate the dedication of our volunteers who helped spread awareness about the importance of these bonds.

With many of our planned projects already in the design phase, we remain committed to creating indoor and outdoor future-ready learning environments that empower our students to reach their fullest potential—both academically and social-emotionally. We look forward to continuing to engage with the community as we move forward with these exciting improvements.

The future looks bright! Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Dr. Antonio Shelton, Superintendent
