Santa Monica Next is pleased to announce a new podcast coming in 2025. We’re tentatively calling this podcast the “Mayor’s Roundtable” and it will feature myself, one of three former mayors who will join me on a rotating basis, and a special guest. The show will have two segments built around a topic decided on by my two guests.

Our rotating team of mayors is Gleam Davis, Pam O’Connor and Ted Winterer.

Next has had a few successful podcasts since our relaunch just over two years ago, but for those that don’t know I’m an experienced podcaster who has been co-hosting podcasts at Streetsblog for nearly a decade. Earlier this year, the SGV Connect podcast that I co-host with Chris Greenspon won the “Best regular podcast” at the annual LA Press Club Awards. My role in this podcast will be more of a host that helps frame and move the conversation, our mayors and guests are far more interesting than me.

We’ll be back with more details in January, but if you have any ideas for guests or topics you can always let me know at damien@santamonicanext.org.
