Enter for FREE Tickets to OPA Night @ Hollywood Bowl (Thursday Sept. 5): We have 10 tickets to “Carmen and Carnival with Dudamel” that we are raffling off to interested members (each winner gets the option of 1 or 2 tickets). Drive Safe, Schools Back in Session: With Santa Monica public schools back in session this today, “the city encourages the usage of public transit in order to counter traffic, especially in the coming weeks as back-to-school traffic can be quite chaotic for both commuters and residents near schools. Rent Control Board Amends Regulation on Security Deposits: “the board unanimously revised regulations to align with a new state law, prohibiting landlords from collecting a security deposit ‘in an amount of excess of a month’s rent.'” More details here.
Openings:Edgemar Restaurant & Lounge (@ 2415 Main St.): It opened last week in the 1928 bowstring truss warehouse that is part of the 1980’s Frank Gehry-designed Main St. development. Things To Do This Weekend: 
Endless Summer C.A.M.P. (Community | Art | Music | Picnic) at Tongva Park (FREE – Saturday 11am – 2pm): This final event in the series celebrates community, arts and culture. Bring a picnic and join as artists from across Santa Monica and the LA region share their culture through interactive music, performances, and hands-on crafts. Special performances by local youth will be featured. This week features “Animals from around the world with Conservation Ambassadors/Zoo to You along with mini rock concerts from the youth bands of KID ROW.
