SMPD/SMFD Escort Santa Through Santa Monica Tomorrow

The following is a press release provided by Santa’s Workshop:

Santa Claus — escorted by fire engines, police cars and motorcycles — will pay his 31st annual visit to Santa Monica on Saturday.

During his whirlwind 5-plus hour tour, St. Nick will ride through the streets of Santa Monica on his way to four local parks, one in each of the city’s police beats, according to his helpers.

“Santa Monica children are encouraged to look and listen for the lights and sirens of the public safety vehicles, while parents are encouraged to bring their cameras.

“His public safety helpers will be distributing good cheer and thousands of candy canes as part of this year’s ‘Candy Cane Drive.’”

Santa’s publicist issued the following itinerary:

Saturday, December 2, 2023:

  • 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Douglas Park, 2400 California Avenue (Beat 4)
  • 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. Christine Reed Park, California Avenue & 7th Street (Beat 1)
  • 1:30 – 2:15 p.m. Virginia Avenue Park, 2200 Virginia Avenue (Beat 3)
  • 2:30 – 3:15 p.m. Clover Park, Ocean Park & 25th Street (Beat 2)
